Loosing Fat

I got back to my spin class this morning and it about killed me. I haven't worked that hard in a long time. I also had a working lunch, so I didn't have a "low fat" lunch, but it was a good lunch with veggies. I haven't weighed myself today because I am not prepared to look at that yet. It is not that I have gained, but I haven't lost weight either (probably).

Well, I would love to see other people posting about what they are doing about burning their fat!!!

In His Love.

Hello,
My name is Amanda and I am glad that I bumped into your site. I am almost 19, and I attend UND (University of North Dakota). Last Fall was my first semester at UND and I was most worried about the Freshman 15. I did not gain nor did I lose weight however I found that this spring I took a full course load (17 credits)and with these credits I also picked up a swimming course. I absolutely loved this energy gaining, fat burning technique. i loved it so much that i decided to get a membership at our local Y to start swimming on a regular basis since our pool on campus was always packed with students. I soon found an aerobics water class that was high energy, loud music and good converstation. It was not long before swimming became an addiction for me. I was swimming 5/7 days, including the mon/wed swimming course I was taking at UND. During the duration of the semester I lost 20-30lbs and felt great. When finals came and went I had stopped going to the Y as well as my class at UND had ended, I then found the freshman 15. I took on a heavy summer courseload as well and just never had the time to myself. I need my energy back again, I was diagnosed with depression and ADHD when I was in the second grade, when I was in the water it seems like nothing can touch me, I can relax. Well its heading on 1 am and I need to hit the sack. Hope to hear from you. check out my site. If you want I'd love to hear from you...amanda.slominski@und.nodak.edu

Hello Amanda,

I am so glad that you bumped into my site as well. I loved reading your story about what has gone on with you. I also loved your honesty about being diagnosed with depression and ADHD (In the past, I taught Special Education so I know a little about kids that are diagnosed with ADHD.) It sounds like the water helped you relax and brcome more focused. So what is going on with you now? Are you going to be back at school soon? Can you get back to the Y? Come visit again when you can!!

I just got done last thursday with summer classes and fall starts on aug 21. im looking forward to my classes. currently i am going to be doing at least an hour a day monday thru thursday and two hours on tues/thurs because monday thru thursday i signed up for a walking class 8-9am and then on tues/thurs i will be swimming from 11-12. as for the Y i hope to start up again, even if it is just on fridays and saturdays. i am looking forward to another mission trip i am planning to take in november...i will be traveling to russia for three weeks, taking off both school and work. i would like to be in some sort of good shape by then :P its not that im out of shape as much as i just want to lose the pounds im pretty active. as for the adhd and depression they are under contron but i definately notice when i dont work out, i have been going out of my mind lately because i have been stuck working and not being able to work-it-all-out lol. it took me a long time before i could swim at the Y, in hopes that this will not hurt what may become of a friendship i am also looking for another type of support but I am unsure if I want to post it on the blog. Spring for me was a way for me to, well the best way that i can say it comes from colossians 3:7-8 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips...and that is exactly what i did except it wasnt as easy so i tend to struggle. how long did you teach special education?
